Michele Yates is our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade teacher’s aide, and helps with music, art, library, P.E., and special events. She attended the University of Mount Olive in NC. She has taught Sunday School and AWANA for more than 20 years, has homeschooled her four children for 15 years, and has taught as a substitute in all of our elementary classes. She has also helped as our K5 aide since she began working for FBTA in the fall of 2011.
Lediane Vasquez
Lediane Vasquez is our Preschool Supervisor. She has four years of prior kindergarten teaching experience, three years of teaching K4 at the academy, and is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in early childhood education from Marymount University, Arlington, VA, and began working at FBTA in 2013.
Krista Vasquez
Krista Vasquez is teaching K4 this year. She attended El Paso Community College in TX, and has been teaching junior church classes for K-1st grade children since 2008. She also works as our Spanish church nursery director, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She worked at FBTA for a year, and then came back full time in the fall of 2013.
Cassie Tripp
Cassie Tripp is our K5 teacher. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC. She has worked for many years as our kindergarten Sunday school teacher and worked as our elementary substitute teacher in previous years. She began working for FBTA in the fall of 2013.
Kaitlin Probus
Kaitlin Probus is teaching our Preschool K3 class. She graduated from Pensacola Christian College in FL, with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in history, and completed internships and practicums at four different academies. She began working at FBTA in the fall of 2014.
Rebekah Neuhaus
Rebekah Neuhaus is our K4 teacher’s aide. She attended Bob Jones University and earned an associate’s degree in Teacher Specialization from Northern Virginia Community College. During college, she worked as a nanny for multiple families. She has also volunteered as one of FBT’s nursery coordinators and taught preschool Sunday school since 2015. She utilizes her love of public speech and drama to help in the school’s speech department. She began working at FBTA in the fall of 2016.
Elisa Acosta
Elisa Acosta teaches one of our K4 classes. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC. She worked through college as an aftercare group leader for kindergarten and first grades, and also worked as a volunteer for the Washington Center Day Special Olympics. She began teaching at FBTA in the fall of 2015.
