New year, new teachers:
FBTA welcomes new faces to our faculty

– by Hart Z, senior –

A few new faces have joined the faculty at FBTA this year.

Alumnus Corynne Damm is our new K3 teacher. Miss Damm graduated as Valedictorian from FBTA in 2014. She then attended Pensacola Christian College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in a Elementary Education.

“I am very excited to be back at FBTA,” said Miss Damm, “I’m excited to cultivate a love for learning in children even at their early age.”

“She’s funny and really nice,” said Hudson C, K3.

Also, Mrs. Bradford is teaching one of the K4 classes this year. Mrs. Bradford taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade in Indiana for five years before the Bradford family moved here in 2014.

“Teaching K4 is a new experience for me, and I am really enjoying it!” said Mrs. Bradford. “This age is so energetic, funny, imaginative, sweet, and ready to learn. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with my class.”

Finally, Mr. David Armstrong has joined FBTA teaching junior and senior high history and Bible doctrines classes. Mr. Armstrong graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in history and is currently working on a masters degree from George Mason University. He previously worked in the government for 11 years.

“It’s amazing to see how God brought things to pass to allow me to join the FBTA faculty,”  said Mr. Armstrong. “I’m very thankful to be here and I’m excited to see what God will do over the upcoming years.”

“He knows his history very well,” said Lauren M, junior. “I like how he gets his classes involved and makes us think critically.”

Make sure to give these new teachers a warm welcome and don’t forget to always be in prayer for them.
