On May 12 FBTA’s 4th-6th graders won the ODACS field day competition for the 5th year in a row. There were six schools involved including Fairfax, Faith, Heritage, Keystone, Sweethaven, and Valley.

The events involved were the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and relay races. Along with running there also was a softball throw and the standing broad jump.

Jackson T, Brystal W, Chase H, Isabella P, and Noah K each took 1st place in their individual races, with both the boys’ and the girls’ teams taking first in the relays. Isabelle D also won 1st in the standing broad jump.

Points were awarded for 1st through 6th place in each competition. Fairfax won by a large margin with 182 total points, with Heritage at 91 and Keystone at 85.

FBTA held their own field day on May 27 for the full elementary, where each student was able to participate. Despite the rainy weather, students enjoyed the few hours outside of class to burn off some energy.
