Apr 7 – Purple Up! Day

– by Jada, sophomore –

In early April, students of FBTA dressed in purple to support children of military personnel. In 1986, the month of April was designated as the month of the military child.

The reason why the color of the military child is purple is because the colors of all the military branches are combined, and also because purple represents bravery and courage. This is the first year FBTA has done this tradition.

In chapel, Pastor Abbey recognized all of those whose parents have served in the military. This was a great way to show that those whose parents are actively serving are not alone.
