ACADEMICS
Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy offers two types of diplomas: a standard diploma and an advanced studies diploma. Both diplomas are college preparatory and have greater credit demands than those required by the Virginia Department of Education’s standards for graduation.
Approximately 93% of Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy graduates pursue higher education, with student test scores consistently above the national average.
PRESCHOOL
FBTA offers 2-day (Tues/Thurs), 3-day (Mon/Wed/Fri), or 5-day preschool options. The classroom is structured like a school, not a daycare, with the students learning basic concepts like colors, letters, counting, art, English/Spanish, as well as phonics, reading, and Bible stories. Curriculum is focused on the Virginia standards: Approaches to Play and Learning; Social and Emotional Development; Communication, Language, and Literacy Development; Health and Physical Development and Cognitive Development.

ELEMENTARY
FBTA uses a traditional approach to teaching in elementary classrooms, using a combination of Abeka and BJU Press curriculum, which present Scripturally-sound principles for each subject area. Studies include Bible, reading, grammar, spelling, literature, math, science, history, and geography. Elementary students also have weekly classes in art, music, library, and Spanish, and many field trips outside of the classroom.

JR/SR HIGH
FBTA offers challenging academic instruction, with upper level classes in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, and AP Calculus, AP History, Government and Economics, and AP Grammar and Composition classes.

MUSIC
An outstanding music program allows students to develop their talents in piano, strings, woodwinds, brass and handbells, and offers several choirs and orchestras.

ODACS
FBTA is a member of the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools (ODACS) and competes against other ODACS schools in Virginia in Bible, Fine Arts, Academic and Athletic competitions. Winners from the State ODACS competition participate in the AACS (American Association of Christian Schools) National Competition each spring.
